Refuge
FOR 6TH-12TH GRADE STUDENTS. Wednesday Refuge is our weekly, midweek student gathering with the spiritual goal of offering encouragement and rejuvenation to face the remainder of the week.
"How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings." (Psalm 36:7 NIV) "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1 NIV) "I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:2 NIV)
ARRIVE EARLY for some foosball, ping pong, basketball, board and card games, listen to music, or just hang with friends. We often begin with a "no spiritual application whatsoever" kind of game, along with some prizes.
A HOT AND FREE DINNER is always served. The Chow Bell rings at 6:30pm. BRING YOUR BIBLE in hand or on phone as we ALWAYS hear words of life from God's Holy Scriptures, which leads to a guarded season of worship and prayer to close our time together. REMEMBER OUR WEEKLY OFFERING to help pay for the meal, Bibles for students, and for the Haitian students we sponsor monthly through Mission of Hope Haiti.
For me this is one of my highlights of the week, and I feel the students would agree.
